Privacy Policy

ZoneHop collects nothing about you. There is no account to make, nothing to submit and no database behind the site — the whole of it runs in your browser.

Last updated August 12, 2026

The short version

  • No accounts, no tracking, no analytics.
  • Nothing you type here is sent to us. There is no form and no database.
  • Your city list, chosen date, language and light or dark preference never leave your browser.

What stays in your browser

The board does its work on your device. Converting times, computing daylight and scoring business hours are all arithmetic performed locally, and none of it is sent anywhere.

Two preferences are saved in your browser’s local storage so the site does not forget them between visits: zonehop:theme and zonehop:locale. They hold one word each. Clearing your browser’s site data removes them.

Your city list, the date and the selected time live in the address bar — that is what makes a link shareable. They stay in the URL, in your browser history, and anywhere you paste the link. They are never written to a server.

What the page reads from your device

To open on a sensible city and in a language you read, the page asks your browser for its time zone and its preferred languages. Both are answered by your own device, are used immediately to draw the page, and are neither transmitted nor stored.

Third parties

There is one. The site’s two typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts, so your browser makes a request to fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com. That request reveals your IP address and browser to Google under their own privacy policy. Nothing about how you use ZoneHop is included in it, and we receive nothing back.

Server logs

The site is a set of static files. There is no application behind them to write anything down, so requests are served and forgotten. If the infrastructure hosting the files keeps a log at its own layer, that is outside our control and is standard for any website.

Children

The site is not directed at children and asks nobody their age. Since it collects nothing, there is nothing to collect from them either.

Writing to us

You can reach us at support@ZoneHop.org. An email is an email: it arrives in an inbox, we read it and reply, and it is kept only as long as the matter takes to settle. It is not fed into anything, because there is nothing here to feed it into.

Please do not send anything sensitive. Email is not a secure channel.

Your rights

There is very little here to exercise a right over: we hold no record of you to show you, correct, export or delete. For preferences, clear your browser’s site data. If you have written to us and would like that email deleted, ask and it will be — an email you sent is the only record of you that can exist.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it. There is no mailing list to notify, because we do not have your address unless you have written to us.
